Ingrid turned ONE on May 29th, and we celebrated her birthday today (05/30). We did it outside and we had so much fun. We set up some playground plastic toys, a little house and couple of slides and the children really enjoyed. We ended up staying outside all day long and got some sun tanned since we had these playground toys, Sara and Ingrid played really hard and Frank cooked on the grill for us. Enjoy the pictures.
Ingrid was dedicated on Mother's Day, which made it a very special day for me. In two more weeks, my little girl will turn one. The grandparents were able to come, except my mom, who lives in Peru. Our new home church is Open Door Baptist in Raleigh. We like it very much, especially the preaching. Hope my family in Peru enjoys these pictures. Giovanna
It is great to be back home with this beautiful family. Sara is wearing a red dress I bought her in Mexico. When I took it out of the suit case, she began stripping her clothes off and grabbed the dress and put it on along with her hat!
Today, we cross over into Mexico. I got a good night sleep last night and today (Sunday) we will worship at the church plant in Acuna. Our main objective is to love on the children and help the pastor develop relationships with the surrounding community. We will hold a baseball clinic and teach the kids how to play baseball. We will not have the comforts that we Americans are used to so please pray for me to adjust and that I will not get sick. This will also be a good opportunity for me to practice the language as I will be immersed in this community. I miss my dear wife and my precious little girls. It brings joy to my heart when Giovanna puts Sara on the phone and she says "I wuv wu" and blows me a kiss; I'm starting to cry now so I'll close. GLORY TO GOD for His great grace and may the nations of every tribe and tongue know Him and the power of His resurrection! -frank
We went to the zoo today. The girls did excellent in the 2hr car ride and at the zoo. Sara loved the monkey's best, she didn't want to leave. She was excited at every animal. Ingrid seemed to like the sea lion's best, especially the underwater view. Ingrid also took her first steps today while we were viewing the elephants. (elephants were Sara's next favorite) The zoo is very large and we did alot of walking, Sara too, she didn't want to ride in the stroller so she got a lot of exercise today. The weather was nice and it was not crowded so we could take our time and enjoy. This was our first trip together as a family of 4 and we can't say enough about how well the girls did.
Today, Sara went to a pijamas party where the little girls had their faces painted, nails and toe nails done and pedicure. I just thought these pictures were so cute and my family in Peru never seen something like this. Also, there are some pictures of Ingrid at the park, I didn't do so good in those ones I need to learn some tips from my friend Andrea. Espero que se diviertan!!!
Today, the weather was cold and rainy. Sara has a cold and Ingrid is teething. A perfect day to stay inside and bond with each other! Notice Ingrid beginning to stand up now!
