This has been the most difficult flight I have ever had. No sleep at all. Both of my girls couldn't get to sleep, calling for her daddy, and uncomfortable in the seat of the plane. Sara slept in and off the whole time and screaming and crying everytime she will wake up, waking up Ingrid. My little one, had to sleep on the floor. There was no bassinet at all in this international flight Miami to Lima. Here some photos!!!

GET DECORATING
Yesterday, I attended the event of Connecting Point "Get Decorating" at Southeastern. They set up tables for Christmas and Thanksgiving. I took some pictures of some of the best tables. All the events this year have been really good, I have learned many things. Last month, I learned a little bit about scrapping photo books, and yesterday I got some creative ideas of how to decorate my table for Christmas or Thanksgiving. The next event would be about "Get cooking", if you ladies are interested in coming let me know, we can go together.

Craft and Bake Sale Comming NOV. 7
I can't believe it but Christmas is almost here. It is time to go shopping ladies!!!. This year I will be at the "Craft and Bake Sale" at Southeastern in the Ledford Center from 9am. to 3 pm., Saturday November 7th, 2009. This event gives the oppotunity to show up your skills and raise some money for Christmas or school. Frank and I will have an international table selling handicrafts from Peru and Mexico. Among our products, we have the very famous "chuyos" known also as inca hats, they are very cool and warm especially for this winter, these hats are made of alpaca wool and are unisex. I have some for children too. Also, we have, luxury alpaca scarves in different colors (alpaca, is a very delicate and fine wool in Peru);hoodie wools sweaters for little girls; tote bags; blankets; and jewerly: silver rings, silver and gold 14k earrings, necklaces and bracelets made of seeds. I attached some pictures of our products so you can have an idea of how they look like. Hope to see you there!

TEA PARTY GIRLS!!!
I took Sara and her friend Jazmin to the English Tea Room at Wake Forest downtown yesterday, for the very first time. Gauhara (Jazmin's mom)and I really enjoyed our time together and our girls had a lot of fun, drinking lemonade from a tea pot, it was cute. Sara, thought she was in a tea party, in fact, it was our first tea party in this place. This restaurant has the most beautiful china tea set, all kind of styles. Sara loves to dress up, I put on her a cute smoking dress that matched her hat, she herself put on gloves and necklace, she looked like a little lady. Also,I was surprised she sat at the table for a long time, I think she enjoyed the tea china set all by herself. My friend and I were afraid that they were going to break it but they did wonderful.

5 YEARS AGO WE SAID "I DO"

Five years ago, October 7th 2004, Frank and I said "I Do" before God at Iglesia Biblica Emmanuel (my home church) in Lima-Peru. In fact, we have two dates that we celebrate our anniversary, on October 5th we had our civil wedding and October 7th we had our religious ceremony. In Peru, weddings are a little different that in the States. These years have been very challenging for us, especially when there are young children and you are married with a preacher, life can get tough. However, this time together has helped us learn more about ourselves and hold each other accountable before the Lord, accepting our differences and surrender to the Lord those areas in our lives that need refining from The One and Only. Today, in our fifth anniversary we can say that our love has increased for each other, making our marriage stronger and growing more spiritually. There are many things we have learned together and we give thanks to our Wonderful and Merciful Savior who is the foundation in our marriage. Just recently, I heard this definition of marriage: "Marriage is the abandoning of two different worlds to create a new world" Barbara O'Chester. I really agreed with this statement. As a minister wife, I have understood that God has put in my hands the most important ministry of all my husband and my children.
" Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" Genesis 2:24
Happy anniversary, my beloved husband!

Ingrid dancing hip hop and Sara mexican music
My girls really love to dance, they have the latin blood in them. Most of my family back home (peru) dance all kind of music. Yesterday, while they were watching their favorite video The Wiggles Western there is a part in spanish when they sing mexican songs, they both were having a blast dancing together, then Ingrid came up with these hip hop movements, I don't know where she them from but it was really cute!!!! and Sara was too. Here below you can see the video. We would love to hear your comments.

Playing in puddles
We were blessed for the rain today! and I let Sara and Ingrid play in the puddles for the first time ever, they both were wearing their rain boots that I got from the sharing shop; by the way, praise God for this ministry it has blessed us in a mighty way. Frank got a pair of umbrellas for them from Lifeway and they haven't got the opportunity to use them until today in the rain. They had a lot of fun playing in the mud with their boots. Sara was so excited wearing her boots and Ingrid was looking so cute with her raincoat, boots and umbrella. It wasn't really raining when I took them outside but I thought it was time for them to dressed up for the rain and have some pictures taken from their proud mom. I had so much fun taking their pictures and watching them play; of course, after that they had a nice bath.
Enjoy it, Giovanna

1 Corinthians 3: 6-8
I'm proud that these flowers are still alive. I try to keep them alive, but most of the time I forget to water them or I water them too much, with Sara's help (she loves to water plants, one is almost dying for too much water). I think is the first time I have enjoyed having these flowers on my deck and watch them grow nice and beautiful. The red ones are Geraniums, the hot pink are begonias, the green with long branches is a fern and a bush that I replanted from Patricia's (Frank's aunt) garden, it was only a little stick and it has taken more than a year to grow like that. Plants always remind me of this verse 1 Co. 3:6-8 "I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor."

Sunday School Class

Sara and Ingrid love their Sunday School class, specially Sara, she loves the playground (there are a variety of outside toys), play with the kids, sing the songs and go potty. In contrast, Ingrid still cries everytime I leave her, which makes it so hard on me, she loves to play and eat her snaks. I had to post these pictures of them, in Ingrid's class there is a round table with 4 booster seats, the little ones look so cute in there. Sara's class can get very crowded, there are like 15 kids or 16 kids in her class with 4 adults. Hope you all have had a blessed Sunday!!! Giovanna

Portrait Family Pictures

We had our pictures taken by Andrea, yesterday afternoon. It was her fastest shoot because a storm was on its way, however she did a great job. She really knows how to work with children, she stole a smile from Sara many times, I haven't seen other photographers do that yet. I know my mom is going to be very happy to see her smiling.
